Man At Work

 Some time ago, I saw this photographic mage of a man, probably in Asia, going or coming from work out in the water.  I saw it on the Internet and it really spoke to me and I decided to paint it.

It's interesting that this painting has gotten a large amount of interest from people who have seen it.  I showed it in several local amateur art shows at our country club as well as our residence facility.  So far, quite a number of people have asked about the original (which sold) or prints.

I think that it is interesting to people because it tells a story.  Who is he?  Where is he going?.  Is it day break or nightfall.  Lot's of ways to tell the story.

These two were fun as they were edible orchids which were on our plates at dinner one night.  The pink one really got my attention.  I decided that painting them would be something that people at Siena could relate to.

So, here they are!

More "Door Paintings"

Here ar three more of the Door Paintings.  At one time or another, I have rotated among all of these on our door.

#1 is a set of Poppies

#2 is a water lily flower from the Naples, FL Botanical Garden

#3 is a sun flower, which is now adorning a neighbor's door

This is a very fun project.  I like it.  People like it.

 

Siena Lakes "Door Paintings" 2024

These are three paintings that I named "Siena Door Paintings".  The idea is that people who live here at Siena Lakes like to personalize the space outside their apartment door and several have asked me to paint a piece of original art that they can use.  In the last post, I showed the first one, the Nantucket Basket.  Now, here here are three more:

#1 is red hydrangias in a basket

#2 is a hybiscus (from out on our golf course)

#3 is a set of cricuses that I really like
